Engagement sessions are something I will forever and always reccomend. Nothing beats that cloud nine feeling you get while newly engaged. That feeling is why I always encourage my couples to bottle it all up in photo form. This time of your life is going to fly by- especially with all of your focus being poured into planning a wedding!

It is such an incredibly special season and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s an experience and time of your life that deserves to be captured. If you need some more convincing as to why engagement sessions are a must besides the sentimental value, keep on reading!

01. Helps You to Get Comfortable

Let’s be honest, being in front of the camera can be intimidating, whether you are used to it or not. Your engagement session allows you to get comfortable in front of the camera and shake that feeling. This way on your wedding day, you are on your A-game and fully comfortable.

02. Your Photographer Will Get to Know You Better

As a wedding photographer, I LOVE when my couples opt for an engagement session. It is always so much fun getting to meet them in person and get to know more about them and their love story. Engagement sessions help me to see what prompts work best for them and get to know how to serve them best when capturing their love.

03. Use The Photos in Countless Ways

I can go on and on about this one. There are. So. Many. Ways. you can use your engagement photos. You can use them for save the dates, invitations, wedding decor, to hang on your walls, etc. There are plenty of ways to utilize them to get the most out of your investment!

04. Great Date Night

Engagement sessions are fun. They provide you with the perfect excuse to get all dressed up and spiffy with your significant other. After an evening of frolicking in an open field while laughing together, follow it up with dinner. It makes for the perfect date night together.

05. A Memorable Experience

Like I said, this is such a memorable time. Engagement sessions pack in a little extra memory of you and your love to remember while impatiently awaiting your “I do’s”.
